Joint Insurance Scheme

Since the termination of the Block Insurance Scheme by the Social Welfare Department effective April 2004, the Council has been running a Joint Insurance Scheme (JIS) for interested Agency Members. With the excellent leadership by the Steering Committee on JIS, the Scheme has been proceeding smoothly.

The JIS provides appropriate insurance coverage as well as professional consultancy service for participating agencies. The Scheme consists of a comprehensive premium programme for various classes of insurance with core items of Employees' Compensation and Public Liability. Optional package includes Property, Motor, Money, Group Personal Accident, Group/Individual Life and Medical, Medical Malpractice, Office Bearer, Professional Indemnity Insurances, etc.

For the JIS, we not only look at a competitive premium, but also other components such as bulk purchasing power, consistent coverage, easy administration, comprehensive consultancy services as well as risk and claims management.
