Inviting submission of information on researches on Pre-school Children / Ethnic Minorities related

Ethnic Minorities – News      2013/12/17

The Hong Kong Council of Social Service has been working on Desktop Research Programme on Researches Conducted by Local NGO to collect and review the information of the researches done by local social service organizations since 2000. With the collected materials, the Council prepares reports, as well as uploads the brief introductions of the collected items at the Centre for Excellence in Social Welfare website as a free reference for the sector, academics or general public.

Through the programme, a comprehensive database is set up to illustrate a picture on evidence-based practice experience of the sector. Apart from facilitating the sector to have a better understanding of various social service related topics, the Council would like to demonstrate the sector’s contributions to researches and further promote evidence-based practice in the sector. Furthermore, it serves as a valuable asset for knowledge building and service development.

The success of this programme depends on the support of agency members. You are cordially invited to provide information about researches and surveys conducted by your agency on the following topics starting from the year of 2000:

1. Pre-school Children
2. Ethnic Minorities

It would be highly appreciated if your agency can complete the downloaded form and return it to the Council on or before January 17, 2013 (Friday) through e-mail ( or fax (2864 2999).

Meanwhile, to promote exchanges and cooperation of researchers in the sector and practitioners engaging in research works, you are invited to fill in the downloaded form and provide the contact details of research staff in your agency for future contact and liaison.
