International & Relief Service Officer


Job Purpose:

This position is responsible for managing and monitoring HKRC-funded disaster management programs in China as well as exploring and planning for new programs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor the post-disaster recovery and risk reduction projects in the Mainland China and take full responsibilities for the projects assigned
  • Work closely with Chinese Red Cross and local Red Cross partners to ensure effective and efficient management and implementation of bilateral programs
  • Conduct and facilitate capacity building training to local partners and communities
  • Monitor the quality, implementation and budget control of the approved programs
  • Travel frequently to China is required



  • Degree holder preferably in Development Studies or Social Science
  • Minimum of 2 years program management experience, preferably in humanitarian or social service sector
  • Strong skills in program management in social service and knowledge of humanitarian approaches and methodologies
  • Experience in program management, disaster management, humanitarian and non-profit sector would be  an advantage
  • Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)


Contract period: 1 year (Renewable)
