Position Description

Mother's Choice wants to accelerate our agency's impact by engaging volunteers to assist in delivering our mission. The Officer is a support position in Volunteer Engagement working across the team to assist in building an effective and committed group of volunteers.

Mothers Choice believes and supports the vision that every child is in a loving family and acts as an advocate for those who do not have a voice. The individual must set a high standard and act as an example for staff, volunteers and the community.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the recruitment and onboarding of Student Volunteer and Full-time Volunteer programs to ensure they receive meaningful and worthwhile experiences.
  • Coordinate with all Departments to meet their needs and collect data to measure impacts.
  • Maintain volunteer database in Salesforce system.
  • Enable volunteers to access the Portal and complete eLearning when required.
  • Provide administrative support for Volunteer Engagement.
  • Be the initial point of contact for volunteer enquiries via phone and e-mail.
  • Coordinate volunteer appreciation programs for successful implementation.
  • Other duties as may be assigned.



  • A Bachelor degree holder. Undergraduate of Business Administration or Social Science is preferred.
  • Minimum three year working experience in an established corporation or charity.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English and Chinese (both oral and written).
  • Expert organizer and detail oriented.
  • Self-motivated. Able to work independently and work as a team member.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Must be aligned to Mother's Choice culture, values and vision, and share the commitment of Mother's Choice in upholding the safety and protection of children as paramount.
