1.          Welcome new members

 

Ms. Amarantha Yip welcomed new Member - Mr. Peter Lam to the PEP Standing Committee and thanks for everyone support to the Council.

 

2.          Endorsement of minutes of the last meeting

 

The minutes of the last meeting held on December 2, 2014 were adopted. A typo was found in page 2. The word “Private sector” has been amended in 6.1.a.

 

 

3.          Business Plan for 2015/16

- Mr. Cliff Choi reviewed 10 KRA (Appendix 1) carried out in Year 2014/15.  These 10 KRA will be continued in Year 2015/16.  On top of these, 5 initiatives (Impact Area) were newly added in the 2015/16 Business Plan.  These 5 Impact Areas would be top social issues in 2015/16 that have been addressed by different business units in HKCSS.  PEP would engage with different partners proactively to work on projects to address these issues.

- After the Family Summit 2014, some funders were inspired by the agenda being discussed and have started to carry out different projects related to family friendly eg. A Microblog Movie that promotes family and generation harmony has been sponsored by AR Foundation.

 

 

4.          Endorsement of Business Plan for 2015/16

The Business Plan for 2015/16 was adopted and would be put up in HKCSS Website.

 

       

5.          Business Update

            i.                Caring Company Scheme

  • Mr. Cliff Choi reported that over 2800 Companies / Organisations were awarded in 2014/15.
  • There are 90+ booths in The Caring Company Partnership Expo 2015 (to be held on March 25, 2015 in Hall 5, HKCEC).  Over 10 small NGOs have been invited to exhibit at a discounted rate with opportunities of introducing their organizations to visitors in networking sessions in the event.
  • The former presentation ceremony would be changed to a private luncheon (to be held in Chancellor Room, HKCEC), the officiating guest would be Mr John Tsang, FS.

          ii.                WiseGiving

  • Sponsored by Li Ka Shing Foundation, a Seoul study trip co-organised by HKCSS and St. James will be held in late Mar 2015
  • The application of 2nd COP Upward Mobility Scholarship would be closed on Mar 20, Friday. Expected to receive more school nominations than last year.

        iii.                Corporate Communications

  • HKCSS follow closely to Policy Address and the 2015-16 Budget, HKCSS concerns about 3 areas - Universal Retirement Protection, Child Care Service and SE Projects.
  • GOODPOINT is one of the renewal projects under Heritage Preservation and Revitalization Scheme carried by Urban Renewal Authority, managed by the HKCSS, will be launched on 12 Feb 2015.
  • HKCSS has been engaged as the Intermediaries of Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Fund (SIE Fund).  The Fund should be launched in late March or early April.
  • HKCSS is trying to develop e-Marketing via Social Media.

There being no other business, members scheduled the next meeting on April 20, 2015 at 4pm.
