Invitation for Small Business Advancement Scheme Briefing Session

Social Enterprises – Seminar      2017/03/27

Small businesses always play an indispensable role in the social and economic development of Hong Kong. Apart from their contribution to Hong Kong economy, they also create job and development opportunities to people from different aspects. In this fiercely competitive business environment, small businesses usually encounter various problems in their operations, thus limiting their potentials in contributing to the social development of Hong Kong. In view of this, the Council organizes “Small Business Advancement (SBA) Scheme” to support the development of local small businesses in order to increase their competitiveness and develop diversified economy. SBA Scheme is funded by J.P. Morgan. Further, SBA Scheme also welcomes social enterprises to join since local social enterprises may also share the same set of difficulties and hence would like to receive professional support in business operation.

SBA Scheme is designed for the businesses and social enterprises with less than 10 full-time staff. The participating small businesses and social enterprises could join 6 skill-based training sessions, receive monthly consultation from mentors or industry experts as well as benefit from retired senior management for execution of business plan. The briefing session of SBA Scheme will be held on 27 March 2017 (Monday).
