The Council has reaffirmed its positioning, value and mission in promoting social welfare and sustainable social development in Hong Kong. The planning year 2007-08 is the final year of the current three-year strategic plan of the Council to focus the Council's efforts in effecting changes in societal, sectoral and organizational levels in the years 2005-08. This year 2007 also marks the 60th Anniversary of the Council. The Corporate Focus of the Council will follow the theme of the Council's 60th Anniversary celebration – celebrate partnership.
