The
right to use a unit shall not be assigned or sublet in any manner
whatsoever other than by way of admission to a function carried on
in the unit.

A unit
shall only be used for the purpose as stated in the application form.

A Hirer
shall obtain all licences required for any activity which shall take
place in the unit at the hire period.
-
The Hong
Kong Council of Social Service (The Council) shall not be held responsible
for any damage or loss of properties of the Hirer or any of his members.
-
The Hirer
shall not bring any additional furniture or equipment into any unit
on hire without the consent of the Chief Executive of the Council
and shall comply in all respects with any conditions which may be
imposed by the Chief Executive. The removal of the said furniture
and equipment shall be immediate following a hiring.

The Hirer
shall repay to the Council the cost of reinstating or replacing any
property damaged, destroyed or stolen during the period of hire.
-
No admission
of audiences other than those stated in the application form shall
be allowed.

The seating
arrangement in a unit may not be altered without the prior consent
of the Chief Executive. Any request for re-arrangement shall accompany
the application form.

The Carport
of the Building shall not be open to the Hirer.
-
The period
of hire is from 9:00a.m. to 10:00p.m. daily. Application for hiring
shall be made not less than 14 full working days before the date of
hire.

All hire
charges shall be payable in advance. Where the date of application
is not more than 14 full working days before the date of hire, the
hire charges shall be payable immediately upon acceptance of the booking,
Where the date of application is more than 14 full working days form
the date of hire, the hire charges shall be payable within 14 days
from acceptance of the booking.

The Council
shall not be liable to the hirer for any damage or loss he may sustain
arising out of any breakdown of the services provided in the unit
on hire.

Bookings
may only be cancelled with a written notice to reach the Building
Maintenance Office no less than 30 clear days ahead of the date of
hire. Refund for cancelled bookings shall be in accordance with the
following scale:

Any transfer
of a confirmed booking to a different date or unit shall be deemed
as a cancellation of booking.

All units
shall be closed when typhoon signal no.8 or above is hoisted and shall
reopen two hours after typhoon signal no.8 is lowered. A hire or any
part thereof falling within the period during which the units are
closed shall be transferable subject to other terms and conditions
of hires hereof.

The Council
reserves the right to close any unit at anytime.

No food
or drinks may be served in any unit without prior consent of the Chief
Executive.
-
The Hirer
shall observe all Government ordinances, rules and regulations as
may be applicable to the administration of the Building or any part
thereof.
-
In the
event of breach of any the term or condition herein by the hirer,
the unit on hire shall be closed immediately and any money already
paid by way of hire charges shall not be refundable to the hirer.

The Auditorium
and meeting rooms will be opened 15 and 5 minutes earlier respectively
before the period of hire. The Hirer is required to clear up the venue
5 minutes after the period of hire.
