第六十二屆周年會員大會暨2009年度『卓越實踐在社福』獎勵計劃頒獎典禮及二00九至二0一一年度執行委員會及常設委員會選舉將於今年十一月四日星期三於香港灣仔軒尼詩道15號溫莎公爵社會服務大廈一樓禮堂舉行，謹將有關程序簡述如下，以便參照：

一. 第六十二屆周年會員大會

• 周年會員大會的大會議程
• 您的參與至為重要，請填妥出席回條，並於二00九年十月三十日或以前交回本會
• 惟如未克出席及投票，您可考慮委派代表出席。請填妥「周年會員大會委派代表授權書」，並於二○○九年十月三十日下午二時十五分或以前交回本會。周年大會當日遞交之授權書將不獲受理。

二. 二00九至二0一一年度執行委員會及常設委員會選舉

• 今年共有三十六位候選人獲提名參加執行委員會及五個常設委員會的選舉，角逐二十六個委員席位。各委員會候選人名單及其資料，簡介各候選人在近期參與社福界的履歷，以供參考

  • 「機構發展及伙伴聯繫」常設委員會候選人名單
  • 「服務發展及聯繫」常設委員會候選人名單
  • 「卓越管理及效率促進」常設委員會候選人名單
  • 「政策研究及倡議」常設委員會候選人名單

• 當日下午二時起，機構會員正式代表及永久個人會員，或其受託人可到2樓201室辦理周年會員大會的登記手續，並領取選票。投票時間由下午二時十五分開始直至下午四時十五分；領取選票的截止時間則為下午四時正
• 雖然章程容許機構會員隨時更換其正式代表，但就今次選舉有關變動必須於二00九年十月三十日下午二時十五分或以前以書面通知本會，致使新委派的正式代表可在是次選舉中投票。

三. 2009年度『卓越實踐在社福』獎勵計劃頒獎典禮

• 社會福利界一直提供適時及有效的服務以回應社會需要。機構及服務單位在追求優質服務的過程中，累積不少具啟發性及前瞻性的實踐經驗。為了表揚及推廣這些服務實踐的經驗及智慧，本會自2003年起每兩年舉辦「卓越實踐在社福」獎勵計劃，希望透過獎勵計劃，促進業界的專業交流，繼續發揮追求卓越的精神，並讓公眾進一步認識社會福利界的貢獻。

The 62nd Annual General Meeting cum ‘2009 Best Practice Awards in Social Welfare’ Award Presentation Ceremony and the election of members of the Executive Committee and Standing Committees for 2009-2011 will be held on 4 November 2009, Wednesday, at the Auditorium, 1/F, Duke of Windsor Social Service Building, 15 Hennessy Road, Wanchai, Hong Kong.? For your easy reference, I would like to highlight the time schedule of these important events as below:

With regard to the above-mentioned events, kindly note the details below and the related appendices as attached:

1. The 62nd Annual General Meeting

• The meeting agenda
• Your participation is most important. Please complete and return the attached reply slip to the Council on or before 30 October 2009.
• In case you are unable to attend the AGM, you may consider appointing a proxy for the AGM and Election by completing and returning to the Council the Letter of Proxy for AGM as attached on or before 2:15 pm, 30 October 2009. Proxies will not be accepted on the spot.

2. Election of Members of the Executive Committee and Standing Committees 2009-2011

• I am pleased to inform you that a total of 36 candidates are nominated for the election of 26 members of the Executive Committee and five Standing Committees. In this regard, I am enclosing herewith the list of candidates for each of the aforesaid Committees together with the short accounts of their previous and current involvement in our social welfare sector for your reference.

• Kindly note that voting forms for the Election will be distributed to Official Representatives of Agency Members and Life Members, or their proxies, when they register for the AGM at Room 201, 2/F starting from 2:00 pm. Voting will start at 2:15 pm when the AGM commences and end at 4:15 pm sharp. No voting forms will be given out after 4:00 pm.
• According to the Constitution, Agency Members are allowed to change their Official Representatives whenever required. All changes of such should be registered in writing to the Council. For this Election, those Official Representatives registered on or before 2:15 pm, 30 October 2009 would be recorded as the eligible voters. Any changes after this day will not be eligible to vote in this Election.

3. '2009 Best Practice Awards in Social Welfare' Award Presentation Ceremony

• Throughout the years, the NGOs have accumulated valuable experience in rendering timely, responsive and effective services to meet community needs. To transfer these tacit knowledge into well-documented practice requires the collaborative efforts of the sector. By building up practice wisdom and experience, we hope to crystallize the elements which render a service effective so that they can serve as useful reference in service delivery. The effective management of such knowledge will strengthen the expertise of the sector and promote professional quality.
