Under the leadership of Mr. J.P. LEE, the Council was actively involved in the social and political development of Hong Kong. Views and recommendations on the Basic Law to reflect the aspiration and expectation of the welfare sector were chanelled to the authority. Mr LEE was invited, on behalf of the Council, to participate in the Signing Ceremony of the Sino-British Joint Declaration held in Beijing.
