 Dr. Eric LI, GBS, OBE, JPChairperson (1996-2000)Under the Chairmanship of Dr. Eric LI, an Expert Group was set up in the Council to examine social development in Hong Kong and make recommendations for the Council to follow up. A Long Range Planning Committee was set up to review the positioning of the Council so as to bring forth new initiatives and drives to meet the opportunities and challenges brought forth by the new era.
